Four to six hours by road (bus) or two hours by Haramain train. You are in ihram: regular talbiya, no perfume, no head covering for men, no quarrelling. Sleep if needed, hydrate. Approaching Makkah, the guide recalls the tawaf instructions.

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
Labbayka Llāhumma labbayk, labbayka lā sharīka laka labbayk, inna l-ḥamda wa-n-niʿmata laka wa-l-mulk, lā sharīka lak
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Praise, grace and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
Subḥāna lladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahu muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā la-munqalibūn
Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And to our Lord we shall return.

Common mistakes
- Covering the head to sleep on the bus (men).
- Scented wipes, scented cream.
- Cutting a broken nail: wait until you leave ihram.
What if…
The bus arrives very late at night?
Rest at the hotel while remaining in ihram; Umrah is done after waking with the group. Ihram does not “expire”.
We pass through Jeddah?
No change: you have been in ihram since Dhul Hulayfah.
