Meet the group and the guide at the airport. On departure, recite the travel supplication. From Paris, the plane crosses the miqat zone before landing in Jeddah: the crew announces it. On arrival: immigration, luggage, then coach transfer to the hotel.
Educational guide. If in doubt, ask your guide or a scholar.
Supplications
Subḥāna lladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahu muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā la-munqalibūn
Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have accomplished it by ourselves. And to our Lord we shall return.
Quran 43:13-14
Common mistakes
- Arriving late at the meeting point: the group cannot wait.
- Packing the ihram in the hold when it must be worn before landing.
- Crossing the miqat (in flight) without the intention when going straight to Makkah.
What if…
We go to Madinah first?
Then no ihram on the plane: you will enter ihram at the Dhul Hulayfah miqat when leaving Madinah (route “I am already in Madinah”).
Flight delayed or connection missed?
Stay with the group and follow the guide; the agency deals with the airline.
